Scientific basis of temple worship
Scientific reason for moving hands over the lamp
After Aarti, everyone places their hands over the lamp or camphor and then puts them on the head and touches the eyes. By doing this, the vision sense gets activated with slightly warm hands and one feels better.
Reason for ringing the bell in the temple
Whenever one enters the temple, there is a bell hanging on the door which has to be rung. Even while entering the main temple (where the idol of the god is kept), the bell or gong has to be rung, the reason behind this is that the sound produced by ringing it keeps echoing for seven seconds which activates the seven healing centers of the body.
Idol of God
The idol of God is kept exactly in the middle of the sanctum sanctorum in the temple. It is believed that this place has the most energy where standing with positive thoughts, positive energy reaches the body and negativity runs away.
Scientific reason behind doing parikrama
After visiting and worshipping in every main temple, parikrama has to be done. Parikrama has to be done 3,5,7,11,108 times. When Parikrama is done in the temple, all the positive energy enters the body and the mind gets peace.
Why do we remove slippers outside?
One has to enter the temple barefoot, this rule is in every temple of the world. The scientific reason behind this is that the floors of the temple are constructed from ancient times till now in such a way that they are the biggest source of electric and magnetic waves. When one walks on them barefoot, maximum energy enters the body through the feet.
