Recently, June 5 was celebrated as World Environment Day. Due to the fear that there will be no escape from the pursuit of global warming, many consequences will have to be suffered severely. Many measures are being taken by countries at the global level. Mainly, tree planting is done on a large scale on World Environment Day. But ‘ending global plastic pollution’ that is polluting the world is the need of the hour. This is the motto of the UNO this year. But the question of how much plastic pollution and elimination is being achieved by taking many measures is always a question. Ending plastic pollution around the world is the need of the hour today. The entire earth is trapped in the grip of the dragon from that pollution. And its terrible consequences, intensity, and side effects are suffering every living being created by man. Plastic pollution is in both macro and micro forms. The horror of this is so great that from homes to villages, settlements, villages, cities, streams, rivers, lakes, seas, Antarctica, satellites, etc., it has become enormous, and at the same speed at which plastic is produced, plastic destruction or recycling is slowing down at a snail’s pace. Today, our country India ranks third in the world in plastic waste production. And if the situation continues in the future, in a few years it will become the number one country in the world in waste production. This will be a big plastic waste dumping ground, India. Advanced countries have imposed many restrictions on plastic production and emphasized on the production of environmentally friendly products. They are paying attention to how plastic production can be reduced by taking many measures. Very aggressive planning is being done at the government level. Many countries are researching and making plans to eliminate plastic. Plastic waste is a serious environmental problem for human life and it has many adverse effects on the health of animals and humans on earth, causing them to fall victim to diseases. Plastic is being produced using many hazardous chemicals. If such plastic is produced in the next twenty years, humans and animals can be destroyed. Today, many victims of human and animal pollution are being caused by plastic pollution. Due to excessive plastic use, a terrible disease like cancer is becoming harmful to our country. Every year, about thirty crore tons of plastic waste is being produced in our country, both man-made and industrial.
Ten percent of the various pollution on the planet are microscopic. Our planet has 33%. The new youth power will have to suffer the consequences of plastic pollution. New research has found micro particles of plastic in the human brain. They are adversely affecting the entire body system. Research has also found micro plastic particles in human semen. It is very difficult for humans and animals to escape this horror. If we look at the future, this matter is going to take a very worrying form. Plastic waste on earth is polluting the soil and water by mixing with it. It takes about 40 years for plastic to decompose. Due to this waste, radical changes have been seen in the lives of wildlife, humans, animals and plants.
90% of plastic bottled water is completely harmful to the body. Research has shown that there are microscopic particles in water. This means that the water in our mineral bottles is not completely healthy to drink. The incidence of diseases caused by that water is high. If plastic waste and its solutions are not planned in a systematic manner, then in the future India will become a global center for producing plastic waste. Considering the need of the hour, it is the need of the hour to ban and restrict plastic in the country and reduce plastic production. Eco-friendly cloth bags should be produced in the country. By increasing the production of bamboo and jute, cloth bags and paper bags should be produced on a large scale. And for this, eco-friendly manufacturing factories should be set up. The environmentally friendly bags produced from it, paper bags, large jute bags, will do an important job of nature conservation. The disposal of plastic in our land will have to be recycled and destroyed in a scientific manner. Today, in the world, America, European countries, Singapore, Japan, Korea, China are reducing plastic production by making it very sensitive. They are creating an environmentally friendly country by designing and implementing their national policies.
The extent of the horror of plastic waste is so widespread that it has disturbed the sleep of the entire world in the future. Today, water and air have been polluted by plastic. Pollution in water has adversely affected aquatic life. Their reproductive production has been affected. Plastic waste has not left any area in our country. Plastic waste has been created in public places, forts, Himalayas, satellites everywhere. Due to this pollution, small fish in the water, aquatic animals and large fish die from time to time. Contaminated air and polluted water, foul-smelling drains, large amounts of plastic floating on the water are polluting the land and water of the earth 365 days a year. Due to the use and prevalence and intensity of plastic due to human desires, the global problem of global warming has plunged into a terrible abyss. Climate change is taking place on the earth in many forms. Wildlife and human life are being negatively affected. Recycling and burning of plastic is a serious problem because it releases toxic gases and chemicals and its consequences have to be faced. Recently, old tires are imported into our country from European countries, but these terrible consequences have to be faced due to pollution. This is a question related to plastic. The fossil fuels used in the production of plastic increase the emission of greenhouse gases and contribute to climate change. Plastic causes cancer, asthma, respiratory problems, and metabolic disorders.
This is a call to humanity from the inside. If this plastic pollution is not stopped in the future, human life will be in danger. Microplastic particles are mixed in our food, causing diseases like cancer. And harmful chemicals replace hormones in our body. And by creating its deficiency, various diseases arise. No matter how advanced science is, humans are helpless in successfully overcoming this disease. Ultimately, the disaster we have created destroys us. The effect of plastic fibers on young children is having a positive effect on their growth.
The use of original plastic should be reduced to a very small extent and restrictions should be placed on companies that generate income 365 days a year, rather than expanding it. Plastic bags, which are easily available and cheap, should be banned from the market. It is evident how much plastic was used in our country forty years ago and how much it is being used today. Plastic has been used in everything. If we want to save the world tomorrow, let us be prepared to live a healthy life by reducing its use, preserving the environment and protecting the earth. Let us all live a natural life.
